(CHICAGO) At least ten children have been taken to area hospitals after a crash in the main parking lot at the Brookfield Zoo.
It involved a couple of school buses.
The injuries have been described as minor.
Here is an official statement from The Brookfield Zoo:
“Today at approximately 1:13 p.m. an accident occurred between two buses at Brookfield Zoo’s main parking lot located at 31st Street and 1st Avenue. In addition to Brookfield Zoo’s on-site ambulance local municipalities also provided assistance. A total of 10 students were transported to local medical facilities coordinated by the Brookfield Fire Department and Loyola University Medical Center. The area has been cleared and the North Gate parking lot remains accessible”.
