About 11 p.m., a 1996 Chevrolet was speeding eastbound on Devon Avenue when it ran a red light at the intersection with South Cumberland Avenue and struck a northbound 2014 Audi, according to a statement from Park Ridge police.

After striking the Audi, the Chevrolet hit a tree and a light pole before coming to a rest on Devon, police said.

The 20-year-old Park Ridge man driving the Chevrolet, as well as his two passengers–an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man–were all taken in serious condition to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said. Both of the passengers were ejected from the car.

The driver of the Audi, a 24-year-old Park Ridge woman, was taken to Resurrection Medical Center  with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

As of 6 a.m., all but a portion of Devon had been reopened to traffic.

The Park Ridge Police Department’s Major Crash Unit and the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, a multi-jurisdictional investigation agency, were investigating the crash.
