(CHICAGO) A tornado warning is in effect Friday evening for several south suburbs in Cook and Will counties.
The warning is in effect until 5:15 p.m. for areas including Park Forest, Matteson and Richton Park, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning means either a funnel cloud has been spotted or tornado-type rotation has been detected on radar. Forecasters urge people to take shelter immediately.
