(CHICAGO) St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says officers will be in greater numbers for the best-of-five series between the Cubs and Cardinals that gets under way today. Game two is set for Saturday.

A business promotion group called Downtown STL, says it will provide guides who will be able to help direct fans to the city’s sites and help them get to and from their cars. It may sound silly, but just two weeks ago an Army veteran was shot and potentially paralyzed during a robbery as he walked with his girlfriend to their vehicle after a Cardinals game.

Chicago is getting ready, too. Lee Crendell with the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce says it’s an economy driver with folks spending time and money in the neighborhood. He says businesses are ready for the crowds.

Game three is Monday at Wrigley Field. Game four, if necessary, will be Tuesday and if there is a Game five, it will be on Thursday in St. Louis.
