Wisconsin man found guilty of threatening west suburban college

(WHEATON) A Wisconsin man was found guilty Thursday of posting threatening statements on Facebook against North Central College in west suburban Naperville in 2013.

A jury found 23-year-old Aden Khan guilty of one count of disorderly conduct with the threat of violence against persons at a school, a class 4 felony, according to the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office.

On March 5, 2013, North Central College’s dean called police after seeing a disturbing post on Facebook, prosecutors said.

An investigation showed that Khan posted messages such as “I bring a gun to school every day. Someday someone is going to piss me off and end up in a bag” and “NCC needs to learn their lesson about snow days, it won’t happen until someone is killed” on a fake page he had created on the social media site made to look like it was associated with the college, prosecutors said.

Kahn, of Madison, Wisconsin, was arrested a few weeks after the incident in Wisconsin, prosecutors said. He is next scheduled to appear in court March 10.
