Illinois Republicans stump for Kasich in New Hampshire

(CHICAGO) A group of Illinois Republican State Representatives is in New Hampshire, to campaign for Presidential Candidate John Kasich, ahead of Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.
Downers Grove Representative Ron Sandack told “The Big John Howell Show” on WLS that while Donald Trump leads in the polls, Kasich, the Governor of Ohio, could surprise a lot of people.  ”We watched him give a town hall in Concord, and John, it was all substance.   He takes questions from the audience, there’s no scripts, there’s no teleprompter, there’s no one whispering in his ear. In the age of the internet and having to have hyperbole and a lot of glitz and glamour, does someone rise to the top who just is competent.”
Sandack also told WLS the voters of New Hampshire are know for their serious analysis of the candidate’s positions, and he thinks that will help Kasich on Tuesday.   “I think he’s gonna do well because out here, substance really matters and they don’t care for all the hyperbole.   Substance means something to these people.”
Also campaigning for Kasich in New Hampshire was Republican
Rep. Ed Sullivan, of Mundelein.
