Rauner Accused of “Political Terrorism”

(CHICAGO) In the Chicago school crisis, Gov. Bruce Rauner is now being accused of “political terrorism” by a preacher.

At a Drake Elementary school rally hosted by Chicago Public School’s CEO Forrest Claypool, Dr. Byron Brazier, the pastor of the Apostolic Church of God, told the gathering of children that the governor’s school cuts carry “the stench of racial bias.”

“The governor has already negatively impacted child care, those institutions that have provided support to the poor. He has impacted out higher education facilities including Chicago State University,” Brazier said. “And all of this while the community is currently dealing  with public police misconduct, community violence and now we have to deal with political terrorism.”

He said that’s because Chicago is on track to receive $74 million less in state school aid. But the governor’s office says that’s because CPS has fewer students.
