Metra: Pedestrian struck by train in Bartlett

(BARTLETT) A pedestrian was struck by a Metra train Monday morning on the Milwaukee District / West Line in northwest suburban Bartlett.

Inbound train No. 2212, which was headed to Roselle to start its morning route and didn’t have any passengers yet, struck the pedestrian about 6:40 a.m. at the Bartlett station, according to Metra spokesman Tom Miller.

The train was scheduled to depart Roselle at 6:54 a.m., Miller said.

All inbound and outbound train movement was halted and extensive delays were expected.
