Bicycles Now Allowed on Amtrak Hiawatha Trains

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Passengers are now allowed by Amtrak to take bicycles aboard Hiawatha trains running between Milwaukee and Chicago.

The Journal Sentinel reported Tuesday that the service permitting bikes on Hiawatha trains has a cost of $5.

The service requires reservations, and there can be as many as 15 bicycles on each train.

Previously, bicycles had to be partially taken apart and shipped in cartons.
