Man Killed In CT From Illinois, Crash May Have Been Intentional

(CHICAGO) Authorities are so far releasing few details about the crash of a twin-engine plane on a street in East Hartford, Connecticut Tuesday.

The NTSB has turned the investigation over to the FBI because their probe so far indicates the crash was intentional.

Lieutenant Josh Litwin says they are ruling nothing out.

“We want to get everyone involved right from the get go, we don’t rule anything out initially.”

The crash killed a 28-year-old Jordanian national who was studying to become a pilot. That man has been identified as Feras M. Freitekh and records show he lived in south suburban Orland Hills. Sources say there had been an argument in the cockpit before the crash between Freitekh and his flight instructor. The instructor is speaking with investigators after being treated for burns and other injuries.
