No Red Line trains on South Side due to medical emergency

(CHICAGO) CTA Red Line Service is suspended Thursday morning on the South Side due to a medical emergency on the tracks.

Service was suspended between Garfield and 95th at 8:20 a.m., according to the CTA. Trains are only running between Howard and Garfield.

Shuttle buses are available to provide service through the affected area, according to the transit agency. Customers can also use the No. 29 State bus as an alternate.

Details about the medical emergency on the tracks weren’t immediately available.
