Congressman Hultgren:  GOP Obamacare replacement “a good start.”

By John Dempsey, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO) West Suburban Republican Congressman Randy Hultgren says he is keeping an open mind on the Republican bill to replace the Affordable Care Act.

Hultgren told “The Big John and Ray Show” on WLS that he disagrees with Conservative critics of the plan that it is nothing more than “Obamacare Lite”.     “I just don’t buy it when people are saying ‘Oh this is just a watered-down version.’ Absolutely not.   It is a significant change away from government control and Washington making decisions about our health care, to me being able to make decisions, my family being able to make decisions.  Me being able to see the doctor I want to see and the hospital I wanna go to.”

Hultgren calls the Republican bill “a good start”and says the bill will see some changes as the legislative process continues.    Hultgren says whatever bill passes it will be better for his constituents than Obamacare, which he says harms more people than it helps.
