Rahm: Rauner “congenitally incaable of saying yes”

By Bill Cameron, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO) Another day, another fight between Mayor Emanuel and Governor Rauner.

Rauner wants to replace the Thompson Center, and the mayor wanted to trade the city zoning that would help make that happen, for Rauner’s signature on the laborers and muncipal workers pension fund bill.

Rauner said the zoning wasn’t good enough and so Rahm said the governor must have a physical abnormality.

“He asked for the Thompson Center. His budget relies on the $300 million. All he had to do is sign the laborers pension reform and he said no! I think he’s congenitally incapable of saying yes.”

Emanuel said politics is the art of the possible and Rauner’s making everything impossible.
