John & Ray’s Pet of the Week: TYSON

Put your paws together for the adorable Tyson! This handsome 4-year-old Lab/Beagle mix is a bright, shining star who has a tail that never seems to stop wagging! Tyson is always up for adventures, and would love it if he could tag along on all of yours! He is a total lovebug who wants nothing more than to be by his human friends 24/7 and receive all the pets in the world. He was transferred to PAWS from Chicago Animal Care and Control, the city pound, after he was relinquished there by his owner. Tyson is a special needs dog, he is diabetic and has hypothyroidism. He will need to find an experienced, adults-only family who will be comfortable administering his insulin twice a day and will be able to give him daily medication to treat his hypothyroidism. In return, this happy-go-lucky guy will be forever grateful and promises to be an excellent companion.

Tyson would love to find a family who will take him for long walks and will snuggle up with him on the couch for a fun movie night! He is a huge fan of anything that squeaks and would love it if his new home included a huge supply of toys for him to play with. Tyson also has a passion for fetch and could probably spend hours and hours running after a nice tennis ball if someone were willing to play with him. He has also already mastered a few basic commands and would enjoy continuing his training with his new owners so he can learn even more fun tricks! If there is one thing Tyson could wish for that would make him as happy as can be, it would be to find that special someone who will accept him for who he is and provide him with the love he so deserves. If you feel you can be that special person for him, come and meet this cutie today! You surely won’t regret it!

PAWS is committed to finding the perfect home for every animal in their adoption program.
