Pet of the Week: Mazola

Mazola is a shy and timid three-year-old gal who arrived at PAWS Chicago from a rural shelter and has had a tough time adjusting to life in the big city. She wasn’t loving the hustle and bustle of our Adoption Center, so she is currently spending time in a foster home to help build up her confidence and so far she is loving it! She has claimed every comfy corner as a napping spot and loves to spend time with her foster canine brother.

She is hoping to find a quiet and calm household where she can relax and enjoy the simpler things in life. We’ve learned it takes time for her to adjust to new environments and to trust new people, so going slow is the best way to earn this sweetheart’s trust.  She hopes she can find a patient and understanding adopter who will give her all the time she needs to feel comfortable.  Having a doggy friend in the home will certainly help this cutie gain some confidence, so she would do best with a confident canine buddy.  Once she has adjusted to her new surroundings, Mazola is a very sweet dog who enjoys chewing on yummy treats and being close by your side.
