Emanuel using catfish against Rauner veto

By Bill Cameron, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO)  Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Supt. Eddie Johnson are trying to drum up enough votes to override Governor Bruce Rauner’s veto of the state gun dealers licensing bill, and Bill Cameron some are saying that the Mayor is taking an interesting approach.

Emanuel has tried everything else to try to move Rauner on gun control.

Now he’s trying catfish in the case of Rauner’s veto of the gun dealer licensing bill, “When the governor vetoed it, he said it was too much regulation on businesses. This is the same governor who in the early part of 2017 signed a bill to regulate catfish sales at restaurants. When he signed that legislation, it was okay from a regulatory standpoint.”

Democrats don’t have the votes yet to override Rauner, but they’re working hard to flip a few DuPage legislators who have opponents in the November election who are women.
