Today is 7th anniversary of Emanuel becoming Chicago’s Mayor

By Bill Cameron, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO) Today is a red-letter day for Mayor Emanuel.

Seven years ago today, Rahm took the oath and became mayor of Chicago. So, how’s he think he’s doing?

Emanuel: “You asked the wrong question!”

Cameron: “Okay, what’s the right question?”

Emanuel: “How’s the city doing? The mayor’s fine because the mayor’s two children are coming home from college. I didn’t even know it’s the anniversary. Think about this. We just saw kids from Ogden and Jenner fishing in the middle of the city. Nine of the top 11 high schools in the state come out of Chicago.”

Fishing was in the conversation because the mayor was walking back from a Chicago River Walk presser.
