Madigan aide denies he meant to harass co-worker

(CHICAGO)  In the Springfield sexual harassment scandal, fired Mike Madigan aide Kevin Quinn denies he meant to harass former staffer Alaina Hampton who filed suit over the issue.

Part of Kevin Quinn’s defense is that he was not Hampton’s supervisor, his brother. Ald Marty Quinn was.

That’s a distinction without a difference the way Hampton’s lawsuit sees it. In March, she didn’t sue either Quinn. Said Hampton, “I’m filing suit today because I was unjustly punished because I reported Kevin Quinn’s sustained harassment of me while working for these defendants, the Democratic Party of Illinois and Friends of Michael J. Madigan.”

Kevin Quinn has apologized for his many controversial text messages to Hampton, but in his 14 page missive called “The Truth,” he says it was never his intent to make her feel uncomfortable.
