(CHICAGO) Chicago Public Schools CEO Janice Jackson is trying again to assure the public that reform to end sex abuse against students is coming.

At the City Club, Jackson was making no excuses, stating “There is no question that we failed students in many cases. The facts are not in dispute. To the survivors I say at every step of the way, we should have listened to you, we should have protected you and in some cases we failed you. I’m deeply sorry for that, but I also know that sorry isn’t going to cut it

She announced more than 250 new social and special ed workers for the schools, but over at the teachers union Brandon Johnson said, “This is inadequate. Right now we’re still seeing, over 2500 students for one psychologist.”
