Rahm reveals the most miserable part of his job

(CHICAGO) During an appearance at the Economic Club of Chicago this afternoon, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel made himself the most vulnerable we’ve ever seen him, got emotional and revealed what he considers the most miserable part of his job as mayor.

Rahm says it “rips the soul” out him to talk to families affected by gun violence.

Here’s what he says he tries to tell them as a father: “I don’t want you to be alone. I want you to know I love you. I want you to know the city loves you. And as many tomorrows as it takes, we’re here. And I think it sucks! I’ll take any fight you wanna give me on politics. Anyone can’t take this. I don’t want to do it anymore. Sometimes, it’s just the hardest piece of crab of this job. I don’t invite anybody. I don’t go with the media.  And then you meet somebody who figures how to get up the next day and give back.  And that gives me energy to wanna do it. If they can do it, we can do it.”

The mayor said Chicago is not a tale of two cities but a tale of two investments and we should all seize the current good economy to help the guy on the corner who would take an opportunity if he could get one.
