Harold rips Pritzker fund-raising tactic

(CHICAGO)  Taping “Connected to Chicago with Bill Cameron” for Sunday night at 7, Erika Harold, the Republican candidate for Illinois Attorney General, went on the attack against J.B. Pritzker, the Democratic candidate for Governor.

Harold says the Pritzker camp put out a fund-raising email this week suggesting she’s against same-sex couples being able to adopt children or be foster parents.

She says that’s despicable coming from a man who turned up on the Blagojevich tapes, noting “It’s hypocrisy at the highest level. If he can continue with his candidacy and continue to call me out for something I’m alleged to have said 20 years ago, but have been perfectly clear with what my position is now. “

Cameron: “And just for the record, did you say it 20 years ago?”

Harold:  “As I’ve been clear, I don’t recall that specific exchange. What I’ve also said is if that’s what I’ve said, it was wrong and I don’t stand by it in any way. What my position is I support the right of same-sex couples to adopt and to be foster parents.”

On another hot button issue, Harold said she’s anti-abortion with the only exception to save the life of the mother.
