(CHICAGO) How much is the Chicago Police consent decree going to cost? You may want to hold on to your wallet! This is going to be very expensive.

Listen to Lori Lightfoot, the former police board president now running for mayor, “I can’t see how we do this for less than ten million dollars a year and that’s probably cheap.”

And how many years will it take? “There’s no jurisdiction that I know that’s gone thru a robust consent decree that’s got out of it on the other side better for the process that’s done it for less than a decade.”

So 10 years at $10M a year gets taxpayers to at least $100M.
