Sexual Misconduct Report: “Systemic deficiencies” at Chicago Public Schools

(CHICAGO) Preliminary findings are in from an independent review of how the Chicago Public Schools sexual misconduct scandal happened.

It’s a scathing report.

Former prosecutor Maggie Hickey says there were “systemic deficiencies” in CPS  training, incident reporting, data collection and tracking trends among thousands of sexual misconduct  complaints in just the last school year.

It should come as no surprise to the man who runs the schools, Mayor Emanuel, who said in June, “I take responsibility and I’ve also apologized as does any adult who has any role or responsibility. I’m accountable for me and also to make sure that we have a plan in place to make sure that our kids can go to school safely.”

And his school year begins again Sept 4th.
