If you’re looking for something interesting to do this weekend with family, friends, or just by yourself how about visit a museum.

This weekend is Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day, and that means that you can go to nearly 1,500 museums for free!

You have until 3 p.m. Saturday, September 22 to download your tickets for free admission for two people, and then you’re in to see history.

Chicago area museums taking part in this promotion are the Chicago History Museum, Adler Planetarium and the Museum of Contemporary Art and many others. .
