Durbin implies Kavanaugh challenge is to settle old scores

By Bill Cameron, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO) Senator Dick Durbin is reminding everyone that the Kavanaugh fight is about more than possible sexual harrassment.

Some of the Democrats want to get even with Mitch McConnell for blocking Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland to the supreme court.

Durbin implied as much on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, noting “Senator McConnell told us we’ll stay thru the weekend if necessary to get this job done, we gotta get it behind us, we gotta move on!  Where was Sen McConnell’s sense of urgency when the vacancy was created by the death of Anton Scalia? For almost a year Sen. McConnell left that seat vacant in the hope that a Republican would be elected president.”

So this is also about settling old scores.
