FBI Director Chris Wray acknowledged this week that its investigation into sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh was ‘limited in scope’.
Wray says the White House, who ordered the investigation, were the ones setting the guidelines. The White House had previously said the Senate Judiciary Committee were dictating the terms.
The FBI’s investigation did not involve interviews with either Kavanaugh or his accuser Christine Blasey Ford, or will former classmates who claimed Kavanaugh lied under oath about his youthful drinking habits. Investigators did speak with Deborah Ramirez, who claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a drinking game at Yale.
