Robert Mueller’s Russia probe has notched another conviction, with Richard Pinedo sentenced to six months behind bars on Wednesday.
Pinedo ran a website that sold stolen social security numbers and bank account information online. He pleaded guilty to identity fraud back in February.
Pinedo’s connection to any Russian election meddling is unknown, but it’s believed that he got a lesser sentence in exchange for cooperating with investigators.
Mueller’s investigation has led to convictions for seven people so far. Four of them, including Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort, are awaiting sentencing.
