President Trump was at a rally in Montana this week and applauded Rep. Greg Gianforte for having assaulted Ben Jacobs, a reporter for The Guardian.

“Any guy that can do a body slam, he’s my kind of – he’s my guy,” Trump said to a cheering Montana crowd.

When asked about healthcare by Jacobs in 2017, Gianforte reacted with force throwing the reporter on the ground and punching him. Gianforte eventually confessed for his actions.

“We hope decent people will denounce these comments and that the president will see fit to apologize for them,” said editor John Mulholland.
