Hurricane Cracked ‘World’s Biggest Peanut’

It took one of the most powerful hurricanes on record to crack the “worlds biggest peanut.”

Ashburn, Georgia natives have always taken great pride in living in the town that is home to the giant peanut statue.

The statue (that stands 10 feet tall) was knocked over by the winds of Hurricane Michael. Peanuts are the area’s most important crop in Georgia and the statue was meant to signify that.

There is a GoFundMe page geared at raising $50,000 to repair the statue and return it to its former glory.
