A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly making death threats to two U.S. Senators.

74-year-old Ronald DeRisi allegedly left phone messages to two U.S. Senators threatening to kill them for supporting Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination. In one call, DeRisi mentioned a ‘nine millimeter’ to the ‘side of your skull’.

DeRisi was charged with harassment over threatening phone calls in 2015 and pleaded guilty. His attorney says he suffers from dementia and is “not a violent person”.
