Emanuel: ‘Election a rejection of Donald Trump’

(CHICAGO) At City Hall, Mayor Emanuel is decoding the results of the midterms.

Rahm says in this good economy the Democrats actually had no business winning the House but the election was a rejection of Donald Trump.

Looking ahead, he sees a new alignment of voters to be courted, “There’s a new emerging what I call a Metropolitan Majority between urban and suburban voters with a shared set of issues from education to transportation, the quality of life issues. Trump is gonna try to drive a wedge, but I think it’s incumbent on us to keep speaking about health care costs.”

And on health care, Rahm says Democrats need to start talking up controlling costs.
