A Florida Senate race that appeared to be settled might be heading for a recount.
Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson says his campaign is “proceeding to a recount” after losing Gov. Rick Scott by less than half a percentage point. But a recount would have be approved by FLorida’s Secretary of State – who happens to be a Rick Scott appointee.
A spokesman for Scott’s campaign said “the race is over” and said the recount would be “a sad way for Bill Nelson to end his career”.
