Rosenstein No Longer Overseeing Russia Probe

Wednesday’s shakeup at the Justice Department continues with the announcement that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will no longer be overseeing the Russia investigation.

The investigation was turned over to Rosenstein after Jeff Sessions recused himself shortly after taking office last year. With Sessions resigning on Wednesday, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker will be taking over the Russia probe.

Rosenstein has found himself at odds with President Trump after a New York Times article claimed Rosenstein had suggested using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
