Museum Campus Offers Veterans Discount

(CHICAGO) — In honor of Veterans Day, Museum Campus neighbors Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium and Field Museum are sharing ways that veterans can enjoy the institutions free of charge. Later in the week, the Shedd is also offering extended hours to welcome those who might prefer to visit the aquarium in a calmer or quieter environment.

On Veteran’s Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, admission to the Adler is free for active duty military and veterans with a valid ID in addition to being free for Illinois Residents
The Field Museum is free for Illinois residents and will offer discounts for non-resident veterans across the holiday weekend.

On Monday, Nov. 12, the Shedd is free for all veterans and active duty military with a valid ID and the Adler is free for all Illinois residents with a valid ID.

On Wednesday, Nov. 14, the Shedd will host its second “Calm Waters” event, which extends hours from 4:30-7 p.m. at the aquarium providing an accepting environment for veterans, guests with disabilities and their family members or companions. The event costs $10 and capacity is limited to ensure guests remain comfortable.
