(CHICAGO)  CNN is suing President Trump to try to get reporter Jim Acosta’s White House credentials restored and Illinois Senator DickDurbin is applauding the move.

Durbin calls the CNN lawsuit “definitely the right thing at the right time.”

“We find in the history of every dictatorship of an authoritarian government a supression of the press. When the president or any leader in any country decides to throw reporters out of presidential press conferences or throwing some in jail, it’s a warning signal to all of us.”

Durbin argues Acosta has a constitutional right to be in White House press room, but Trump argues he’s got to behave.
