Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made quite an impression on her first day on Capitol Hill – joining a protest outside the office of her new boss.

Ocasio-Cortez joined a group of climate change protesters staging a sit-in outside the office of House Minority Leader – and likely soon-to-be House Speaker – Nancy Pelosi. The 29-year-old Representative-elect called for a “Green New Deal” with 100 percent renewable energy.

Pelosi didn’t seem offended and told the protesters she plans to address climate change when Congress convenes next year.
