President Trump is planning to travel to California this weekend to see the damage caused by the wildfires still raging in the state.

White House spokesperson Lindsey Walters said Trump will visit California this Saturday to “meet with individuals impacted by the wildfires”. She said details for the trip are still being worked out.

So far wildfires have been responsible for more than 60 deaths with hundreds still missing and thousands of homes destroyed. In a tweet last week, Trump blamed state officials for causing the fires through “gross mismanagement” and threatened to withhold federal funds.
