Here is an example of an actor using social media for something other than promoting a movie or new song. Kudos to James Woods for doing his part to try and prevent a veteran from committing suicide.

The 71-year-old actor responded to a since-deleted tweet from a Florida man named Andrew MacMasters. The military veteran said he was going to kill himself because he had “lost everything [and] have nobody.”

Woods jumped in and did everything he could to start a dialogue with the man. He also reached out to those around the gentleman after he deleted his Twitter account. Woods even reached out to local authorities.
