Quaker Recalls Cereal Popular with Children for Possible Salmonella Contamination

Quaker has recalled one of their popular cereals because it could be contaminated with salmonella.

The Food and Drug Administration has said that salmonella could have contaminated a small amount of Quaker’s Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch cereal.

The boxes of the cereal in question were shipped to five Target locations and impact only 21 boxes, but Quaker still issued a recall for public safety reasons.

Salmonella can cause multiple symptoms fever, diarrhea and stomach pain. In some cases it can be more severe if it enters the bloodstream.
