Time magazine has awarded their 2018 Person of the Year to The Guardians. They are a group of journalists who have been jailed or lost their lives in the search of getting the true story.

Slain Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi is on one of the four magazine covers.

The staff of the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland were also featured. Five members of their staff were killed in a newsroom shooting earlier this year.

Imprisoned reporters Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo and news editor from the Philippines Maria Reesa are on the other covers.

Donald Trump was first runner-up and Robert Mueller was in third place for Person of the Year.
