Reuters interviewed President Trump and the topic of impeachment was brought up.

“It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” Trump said in the Oval Office interview.

Democrats have taken the notion of impeachment more seriously since a sentencing memo was released last week on Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen.

On Monday, the president posted on Twitter about the situation saying, “So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution.” Trump tweeted, “Cohen just trying to get his sentence reduced. WITCH HUNT!”

Cohen pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance law and implicated the president in the process.
