(CHICAGO) At City Hall, Mayor Emanuel is taking the occasion of the Chicago Bears winning their division to compare Police Supt Eddie Johnson to Coach Matt Nagy!

In the race for mayor Tony Preckwinkle says, if elected, she wouldn’t keep Supt Johnson because he supposedly didn’t see the department’s code of silence.

Rahm is cleverly using the Bears achievement to defend Eddie Johnson.

“The coach has taken the Chicago Bears from last to first. He’s changed the culture in the sense of winning and he’s made a fundamental change in the outlook of his team. That can’t be lost on any of you when it comes to what the superintendent has done here. To grow the police department, change the culture and then see year after year a reduction in gun violence and property theft.”

Rahm usually doesn’t let a crisis go to waste, but here he’s not letting a success go to waste.
