According to a new survey of American high school students, alcohol and drug use are down – but vaping is through the roof.

The annual survey found that use of e-cigarettes among teenagers doubled this year, with 1 out of 5 students admitting they’ve used a nicotine vape.

Marijuana use stayed the same, with about 1 in 4 teens admitted they’d at least tried pot. But alcohol, opioid drugs, and traditional cigarettes are all way down.

Recently, the FDA passed stricter rules on the sale of e-cigarettes aimed at making it harder for teenagers to get them.
