City’s first mobile app planned

By Bill Cameron, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO)  At City Hall, the city’s first mobile app is planning for release.

It’s called Chi 311, an app where you can complain about things like potholes, street lights or rats.  How do you know someone’s on the other end to respond?

Here’s Chief Information Officer Danielle DuMerer.

“So, you can track the status of your service request. You’ll see how long it’s supposed to take to be completed and if you have an issue, you can contact the city either by calling 3-1-1 or of course by calling the department or your alderman.”

This is part of the mayor’s $35M project to modernize 3-1-1.
