Mueller’s Grand Jury Given Six-Month Extension

A federal judge has granted an extension of up to six month’s to the grand jury impaneled for Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

The grand jury was authorized 18 months ago and was set to expire in just a few days. The extension could last for a maximum of six months.

More than two dozen Russian operatives have been indicted by the grand jury so far, as well as former White House allies like Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort.

It’s not yet known how grand jury meetings might be affected by the partial government shutdown.
