Rosenstein Plans To Remain Until Mueller Report Completed

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is leaving the Justice Department, but not until Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation is completed.

It was reported earlier this week that Rosenstein would leave once incoming Attorney General William Barr is confirmed. But NBC News says Rosenstein will remain on the job until Mueller files his report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel in 2017 after then-AG Jeff Sessions recused himself.
