A 5-minute 911 record highlights the panic and disbelief over the birth of a baby born to a 29-year-old woman in a vegetative state for 26 years.

911 audio reveals a nurse at the woman’s care facility screaming “The baby’s turning blue!”

Caregivers are also heard expressing that the birth was a complete surprise and they had no idea the woman was pregnant.

The Pheonix, Arizona facility that cares for infants, children, and adults who suffer from developmental disabilities are investigating who could have impregnated the woman.

The facility has also announced changes to safeguard against abuse of their patients. One change included requiring more than one caregiver present in during interactions with patients.
