Wilson drops challenge to Brown’s mayoral nominating petitions

(CHICAGO)  In the race for mayor, Willie Wilson has decided to drop his challenge to Dorothy Brown’s nominating petitions.

Willie Wilson says the pressure from the black churches to leave Dorothy Brown alone was just too much.

“If the people say to go this way or that route, we’re not gonna fight the community.”

And Wilson’s always interesting helper Ricky “Hollywood” Hendon also said they’re dropping the challenge because Dorothy didn’t threaten to kill him.

“I had threats against me and things like that, and I ain’t no punk so I ain’t gonna back down. But Dorothy Brown’s group were very professional and very nice about it and there in lies the difference.”

Dorothy Brown said thanks and called on Toni Preckwinkle to drop her challenge too.

“To do the right thing. To let the people decide.”

But Preckwinkle is not expected to drop her challenge. If she knocks Brown off the ballot, Willie Wilson stands a good chance of getting Brown’s endorsement – which may be what this is all about.
