Non-disclosure agreements may be limited in cases of sexual harassment

(CHICAGO) An upcoming bill in Springfield will take aim at sexual harassment in the PRIVATE sector.

Those non-disclosure agreements that so often hide details of sexual harassment in the private sector would be severely limited under a new proposal in Springfield. Lake County St Sen Melinda Bush is behind the bill.

“What we’re trying to prevent is that sexual harassment can go on. Someone loses a job because of it and they’re not able to talk about it after and they’re not able to file a lawsuit, which maybe something they are allowed to do. I believe it’s something they should be allowed to do.”

This is part of a progressive agenda in Springfield emboldened by Democratic control of state government.
