An international committee is set to hold a hearing on ‘fake news’ – and they want to hear from some of the biggest names in the tech industry.

Among the names being invited to testify are Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Apple’s Tim Cook, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

The ‘Grand Committee’ includes lawmakers from around the world. At their first hearing back in November, Facebook sent one of their vice presidents but not Zuckerberg.

The next hearing is scheduled for May 28 in Ottawa, Canada. Topics up for discussion include ‘foreign influence in our democracies’ and ‘data as a human right’.
